However, the panel mount can be installed to monitor different systems in the aircraft. For example, it can be wired so that when the gear handle is put in the down position, it looks for all the gear to be down and locked. If one gear doesn’t lock, the panel mount will automatically flash a warning and switch directly to the emergency gear extension checklist. Additionally, the panel mount can monitor the oil pressure. If the oil pressure drops below a certain PSI, the panel mount will warn you and switch directly to the loss of oil pressure emergency checklist.
